**** SLS Free Soap base does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), it contains Sodium Laureth Sulphate (SLES) this is a different ingredient to Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS). SLES is considered to be milder on the skin****

Understanding the difference between SLS vs SLES

SLS and SLES are ingredients which are commonly found in most cosmetics that are used to clean, whether that be hair, skin or even teeth.  They are also found in many household products such as some which clean clothes.  The two ingredients sound very similar, you have, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES).  As the two sound so similar they can often be confused but they are very different to each other. You will often see products (including ours) which advertise that they are SLS free, many manufacturers in the UK and EU choose to produce SLS free products as they find from research that they are believed to be more gentle.  Both ingredients are used in the same way, they are added to products to produce a foam cleaning action, but again they are different to each other.

Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), is a surfactant which is known to be a great cleaning product but is also found in many users to be an irritant when left on the skin for prolonged periods of time. It can lead to dry skin and irritation.  Saying that SLS is deemed safe to use by regulatory bodies and is widely available in many High Street products, given the belief that it can be a skin irritant ourselves and many other producers choose not to use it in our products.

Sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) is a replacement or alternative to SLS.  It is created through a process called ethoxylation, where ethylene oxide is added to change the makeup of the compound.  The ingredient is safe to use in cosmetic products and is found to be ore gentle and does not strip excess moisture from the skin or hair folicles.  We choose to use SLES for this reason.  Our bath bombs are SLS free along with our soap bars and sponges.

Wax Melt Information

Do you use Soy Wax?

We use our very own blend of eco soy wax and coconut oil, this can make our wax a little softer than a standard soy or paraffin wax melt. We believe our unique blend creates a longer and stronger scent throw!

Coconut, and soy wax blend work well for holding the aroma and allowing for a clean melt option. Coconut and soy wax gives you a 100% natural and fully biodegradable wax that is smokeless and soot-free resulting in a clean burning candle or wax melt. Enjoy a fragrance that emits zero carcinogens into the air.

How do you remove wax from your burner?

We recommend the Heating Method for wax removal from your burner!

Before using the heating method, here are a few things to remember!

If your wax is in liquid form before you start removing it, it'll make the process easier. When working with solid wax, you should turn on your wax warmer for a while and wait until the wax is liquid. If using a tea light  extinguish the flame before starting the removal process.

Here’s how you can use the heating method to remove wax from your wax warmer.

Cotton Balls - Set one or two cotton balls in the melting pot and wait for them to soak up the wax. You can add more cotton to the heating dish depending on the amount of wax that needs to be soaked up.

Leave them like that for a couple of minutes and pick them up once they are cool enough to hold. Discard the damp cotton, and then use a kitchen roll to wipe any residue.

Kitchen Roll - If you don't have cotton, pour the liquid wax from your warmer onto a piece of kitchen roll. Soy wax is biodegradable and non-toxic, so it's safe to throw in the bin.

You shouldn't pour the wax directly into the bin. The melted wax melts are hot, and they can melt the bag in your bun. Only do this if your warmer doesn’t get too hot and if you know that it’s safe to dump your wax in the bin.

Directions for Bathbomb Use

Fill your tub with warm water, pop your bath bomb in and watch it dance around -
leaving trails of colour, fizz and foam behind. You can also place the Bathbomb in clean empty
tub and let the water slowly fill around, this makes beautiful bath art and also creates bubbles too!
Avoid touching whilst the bomb is dispersing to avoid temporary staining.
Take care on porous surfaces. All products are for External use only.
Not intended for use with babies or under 3's. Not to be used around the eyes or
mucous membranes or on broken skin. If irritation occurs discontinue use.
Please be assured that our cosmetic products are manufactured
with full legal compliance to the Cosmetic Regulation 1223/2009.
If an allergic reaction should occur we would suggest that you take the label
and the labels of any other products used prior to bathing
(eg washing powders or cleaning products) to your GP and seek medical advice.
In the meantime, in case you have an unknown sensitivity to any our ingredients;
I would recommend, as per the label instructions, that you do not use it again.

Shelf Life - We advise using the product within 6 months from purchase for best results.

Our bombs perform better in a super clean bath tub especially our painted bathbombs and remember to clean your tub every time you take a bath with a bath bomb, because that is the easiest way to prevent any stain buildup. When you have just drained the bath water, if soap residue is present any color ring left on the tub will be light and easily comes off with a light swab over it. Use a micro-fiber cloth to go over the whole tub.
